When the Center Snaps the Ball, Does the Ball HAVE TO go between his legs?

Or can the Center line up with a SIDE STANCE to Snap the Ball?

Thanks for the Responses. I played in a 4 on 4 "Run N Gun" League where SIDE STANCE was ok.

With the Side Stance, It Opened up a whole new style of play, Incorporating Direct Snaps to RB`s and Direct Snaps to WR`s as far as 20 yards from the Center. It kept you on your toes.

But I also played Run n gun a few years back, and I do not mean to offend any one in this league, but that is the toughest tournament play I`ve ever experienced.

We lost the Title to a team that snapped sideways, it was definetly a different level of play.

Back to the question at hand.Is it legal to do a side snap ? Since you can`t rush up the middle or line up over the center, does it really matter how you snap the ball ?

You can rush up the middle and if you try that weak stuff you will need a new center. He will get jacked up.

Why do you homo`s want to snap it sideways? This isn`t Run-n-Gun 4 on 4. Snap it like always, and stop being stupid.
