Tom,
Can you please make sure to either post the cancellation notice or update the phone line by Saturday night?
Thx! |

Should be a swamp. Confidence level is low. |

If we feel the fields will be unplayable Sunday by Saturday night, we can make that call.
Otherwise we`ll make the call early Sunday morning.
If it rains all day we`ll probably call the game tonight. If the forecast sticks - cloudy with wind, the fields may be okay tomorrow morning (sunny and clear).
In fact, youth football postponed todays afternoon Wakefield games to tomorrow afternoon at Wakefield - so they intend to use that field tomorrow afternoon.
We`re not using Wakefield tomorrow morning, so that eliminates the one "sensitive" field. Herndon and Hook are pretty durable, Greenbriar fields are somewhere in between.
I`m going to go look at Greenbriar this afternoon - because we`ll be using those fields as a bellweather.
The point is still that we give the schedule every opportunity to go forward. If erred to the side of caution and cancelled on Saturday night when Sunday was questionable - we`d still be in week 4, and you`d be playing in a 5-team league.

Good call Tom, you guys do a great job especially this fall on the fields. There were a few games this year I thought would have been canceled but the fields were fine.
I work right near Hook so I did a drive by. The field looks like we could almost play right now, the dirt in the infields just have to dry. Should be no problem by tomorrow morning. |

Just left Hook field, field looks great. Let the games begin... |
|
| Rhinos/Dawgs | 5:45 PM |
Hook field looks real good, lets rumble! If both teams show up, it will be a good good game. |
|
| uuhhh | 5:55 PM |
Rhinos/Dawgs play at Greenbriar, along with Rage/United and Dietze/Spalding. Any field inspectors at that field?
Don`t forget the clocks. |

FYI, dont forget to turn your clocks back an hour tonight.. |
|
| Greenbriar Field | 6:54 PM |
I was there with my son and friends today. Was a little damp, but just fine for tomorrow.
FYI-Rhinos and Dawgs play here, not at hook. |
|
| Herndon Field | 7:44 PM |
The field in Herndon has no grass. I`m not kidding. That field is dirt and rocks. I actually hope it rains a little to soften it up... |
|
| Herndon | 7:52 PM |
We play there. That field is rock hard no grass. |
|
| Greenbriar | 7:58 PM |
Good to go. Looking forward to a day full of activity tomorrow. Its going to be hard to sleep tonight. |

We`re a go for tomorrow, I checked GB this afternoon. Field #6 had no standing water, field 5 was closed but almost dry (this around 3:00 PM) - it will be open tomorrow. |
