We are actually a team from George Mason Univ Flag football league. Bunch of us are Alum`s and was looking to play for leagues outside of GMU, was looking at to join this one, but it seems the registrations might be close.

Was looking around the boards to see if any teams from this league wanted to run a friendly scrimmage with us.

What year did you graduate from Mason? I didn`t know they had a flag league. Is it competitive?

Ya, pretty competitive, they actually have nice turf fields, almost same rulesets, and about 16 teams in one division, 8 teams another for the Men`s division (Fall season).

They also have co-ed, and women`s but I am not sure how many divisions/teams are in those.

This was GMU`s intramural sports, they were pretty strick on rules, had like 3-4 referees per fielded game. Good times, but most of us Graduated.

Too bad the GMU Intramural Flag football was Non contact Flag football.

flag football was kinda gay. you have to block with your hands behind your back...what kinda gayness is that?

that says the University doesn`t want to be held accountable when people get hurt and get their mommy and daddy to sue.

if you are older then 18...you are a grown enough to make your decision to play sports or not. sign a waiver or something

Blocking with hands behind the back was the only bad part about that league, other than that, it was pretty competitive, think about it, that means rushes were quicker which resulted in more pressure for the QB.

I can imagine contact flag football to be alot easier, considering that our QB will have more time to throw.

You can bash all you want, but what does it have to do with Saturday`s Scrimmage? We aren`t afraid of contact if thats what one of the above post was trying to imply.
