Is anybody interested in getting a pick up game going Monday morning, on Memorial Day? I doubt that any full team is going to be around (I know mine isn`t) and I`m wondering if we can`t get something going.
I was thinking somewhere in Chantilly, maybe at Greenbrier around 9 am. That way we`d get out of there before any youth league tournaments or games.

all kidding aside, what field were you guys thinking about? They have 3 huge soccer fields off stringfellow and centreville farms rd.

I suggest we set the time at 10am so people don’t start chiming in requesting new times. 10am should be reasonable for people who may be a little hurting from the night b4. And perhaps u can give us the name of the park at greenbrier for those who may not know {that’s pretty much me} so we can Google it. yo #5 r u talking about those fields past Costco?

the fields are off centreville farms rd. Not sure if you need a permit but I see people playing unofficial soccer there all the time. If you head down 29 and make a right on stringfellow and then a left at the first light (centreville farms rd) you should see the 3 fields on the left.
I`m pretty sure at least one of the field will be empty on monday.

btw, how come your name says "coach off shower" half the time and nothing the other half?

I`ll be down to play...just finalize the time and I`ll be there. I ain`t got shiet else to do Monday morning.

Yo #5 I know wat fields ur talking about. Ive played soccer there unofficially and there good fields Ive only been kicked off once{played 15-20 games} from the park authority. And to answer ur question I try to only put the coach thing only on my first post to establish who I am. So I`m thinking it might be a good idea for peeps to bring one white/or black shirt and another colored shirt so we can run whites/blacks vs colors, race war, j/k. or whatever i just figured i suggest that

I like playing in C, its competitive and still fun. I plan on returning to C if my old bones can take another season. Unless of course the following open teams (sharks, nova`s, lazy, canes) offer me a lucrative contract. ahahhaha ;)

Nothing wrong with playing some pick up ball and throwing back some beers on a holiday.

#5, there are a lot of elder men playing in the open division. Take a look at United 9, he`s old enough to be my uncle.

I say move up next season. I think you guys and Armada will do fine in the open league.

I know where those fields are off Stringfellow, and that`s fine. They`re right down the street from Greenbrier anyways, and Chantilly seems to be a good central location.
10 am is a good start time as well. I`m sure we`ll have enough flags (I have 15) and cones to get started. If we get enough people out we can break off into 4 teams and play a mini-round robin or something.
I think right now I`ll have 3 or 4 out from my squad.
It should be fun gentlemen.

Talked with Wolves #9, we are down to play. Andy, the turf at Mason is AWESOME!! would like to play there if you can make it happen. Last time i was there we won the Mason Inter. So finalize the place, time, and i will try to get some of our old school cats to come. Annandale vs. World!!

No one will be on campus because its a holiday. If we get there first, we can play there...its first come first served. Plus I`m a faculty at GMU so there shouldn`t be any problems.

I think we should stick to the 3 fields off stringfellow. This way if we get more then 2-3 teams we can have multiple games going at the same time.

There is more than one field at Mason, in fact there are 3. How many do we have so far? What time? I believe combining Diesel, United, and Nidal from the Wolves, we should have enough to field our team Andy. Let me know.

There are two turf fields at Mason. Like I said before...should not be a problem at all playing on them. So if thats where everyone wants to play then cool.

#6, he is out of town.. Just come out and bring as many as you can. I think we will have lots and maybe get 2-3 games going. Our team have been off for 2 weeks and counting. Yo from “Off in the Shower” so far its just me showing up. Ill run it by some of these guys but I`m pretty sure there going to be still hammered from the night b4 and not want to come out and play. And I am no way shape or form intimidated by these A league guys, hell even if we were playing tackle. Bottom line I`m just trying to play some football. And yes I do think we should bring some different colored shirts so we can somewhat coordinate.

Just remember it is a pick up game, no refs and therefor no penalties. No one is trying to get hurt 6 days before the playoffs start.

those fields (at the intersection of stringfellow and centreville farms) are actually called stringfellow. Greenbriar`s fields are closer to rocky run middle school.

I am up for playing on monday. I will check with some of my team to see if anyone else can make it. Good idea about football on monday, #9.
