CRISAK wipes their a** with the DAWGS. This game might finally prove to the DAWGS that they are a C team at best. Their QB sucks. He will never make it to a higher level. Without a QB in flag football you can`t win. CRISAK wins 14-0.

every year there are "good" teams in the C, and every year they move up and think they can hang, and every year, they`re a joke and barely win one game. organize yourself, stay in c, and shut up

didn`t some of you guys start in C at one point? instead of knocking the newcomers, which all of yall once were, give them a helping hand. tips and pointers and such. that will only make the league better with more competitive teams.

When we first joined, there wasn`t a C-League during the regular season. You signed up, pay, and take a beating almost every Sunday. Good times.

it seems like for the most part, the c league guys talk smack in their own threads. unlike some of the B and A league guys who go into a C league thread and talk sh*t. whats the point of that? lets just put it this way, there are idiots in all three divisions... regardless of skill, age and seniority in this league

League is growing...there is SOOOO much more interest at the C league level than before. Eventually there will be a much more competitive A league, and that will be great. Its not like any of the A league teams are "all that and a bag of chips"...then again, if good natured smack talk is part of the fun. have at it...

You see the theme yet? The same Big Boys every year.

What did these big boys do at state? Not so big.

1. QB for Church is now the QB for the Rhinos
2. 1 or 2 of the Church guys in 03 played for the Pitbulls in 04
3. A couple of the Pitbulls played with the Novas in 05 and 06
4. 1 or 2 players for the Pitbulls has played with Lazy the past couple of years

The real theme - it`s not just the same group of teams every year, it`s virtually the same group of guys in the final 4 each year.

I play a pick up game in the city that has MD players that are on travelling teams that play 9 on 9. There aint but a couple of guys in all of the IFFL that could play for these teams. Sorry fellahs, but like Anthony Michael Hall said in the movie "Sixteen Candles": being king of the dip****s is pretty cool...but lets keep it real. Hey, I am one of you but lets not mistake *IFFL dominance* with anything too impressive. Play, have fun, dont take any of this too seriously...

It is very unlikely that any of the IFFL vets that also play in the Fairfax weeknight leauge subscribe to any "IFFL dominance" theory. As it has been said many times in the past...the real games are played under the lights in Fairfax for Northern VA.

While this is more of a "fun" league, the A-league caliber players/teams will take the playoffs serious. Hence the reason you see such consistency in the final 4 teams as noted above.

Why do teams that play 9 on 9 have to travel? because there are only 4 teams in the area that play 9 on 9.

We used to play 9 on 9 too way back when and you are right that no 8 on 8 team could beat a 9 on 9 team playing 9 on 9 rules. But its also true the other way around. Whatever your delusions are none of those teams could play 8 on 8 rules and beat the top teams in this league.

Two totally different styles and strategy.

My rugby team could beat the best 8 on 8 and 9 on 9 teams in the area...if we played rugby.

All I am saying is, big fish, little pond.

And that is why the excitement in the B and C leagues is cool...bigger pond. Right now there are 1-2 (mostly 1) A teams that like to thump their chests and my retort is that the interest and vigor in the lower levels is what is most impressive and exciting. You can try your hardest to prove me wrong, but I stick with my "aint all that and a bag of chips" statement.

All of this was set off on people mocking the lower leagues...I have nothing against the A league (um, I am one of them) I just dont like arrogance and hope people who have been around a while recognize how cool it is that there are many intermediate/lower teams getting fired up...bigger pond!

and as far as trying to downplay the MD teams, there reason there are only 4 is b/c they are friggin elite. I have played with some of these guys for years, and they could walk onto our fields and immediately be the best player on the field. Your opinion on that is irrelevant, b/c I have played with both. There is one dude SO QUICK that he returns kickoffs for TD`s, and this is a 10 on 10 two hand touch game. I have heard Sef in his prime was that quick, but in 20 seasons of Northern Va flag I have never seen that kind of skill...and he aint even the best player.

Come on now....The elite teams in this league (iffl/fairfax) can hang with any MD team. I`ve been a vet in both leagues for some time now and am very impressed with the play of teams such as: Lazy, Lions, Rhinos, Novas. Imagine if you took the best players from these teams and put them up against your "superstar" MD boys, would you still think they`re untouchable? I don`t think so!!

Its not about MD or VA...its just about being realistic when assessing how good the "top teams are". I said "aint all that and a bag of chips", meaning they are the best we have but lets not give them the lombardi trophy just yet.

What .02 has been trying to say is, being the "big dogs" in NOVA flag doesnt give your the right to look down your nose at anyone, `cause there are no teams that are "all that and a bag of chips". its true. end of story. fact is i think 3.9 of the top 4 teams get that, there are just a few of those annoying high-school bully types that insist on thumping their chests and pooring their chocolate milk over the nerds heads. we get that. *******s. one in every crowd.
