..you still lost! haha. all kidding aside how the hell does a team score 42 in a playoff game? Anyone have a game recap?
Also, curious as to how Lazy beat up so bad on United. |
|
| For United | 08:38 AM |
Their QB pulled a hammie after a few plays into the game. |
|
| United | 08:42 AM |
They beat up on us, plan and simple, no excuses. They were the much better team yesterday. |
|
| pain recap | 08:44 AM |
wolves were just too fast. wolves scored early, then on the ensuing kickoff, pain fumbled/batted/lateraled the ball which wolves caught and scored immediately again. Wolves also had a couple of int`s and before you know it, ballgame. also, wolves actually had more players than pain (13-10 at kickoff). |
|
| Pain | 08:47 AM |
Short and sweet, Pain handed the game to them with turnovers. |
|
| Yup | 08:50 AM |
Pain turned it over, and the wolves didn`t. Even without the turnovers it wouldn`t have mattered though. We were warming up during the game so I didn`t see every play, but every time I looked the Wolves were throwing for touchdown`s. Wolves offense seemed to be perfect, and their defense was their typical good d. |

Found a box of Depends under the bench after the second game at Braddock. Holla if you are looking for them. |
|
| Before | 09:12 AM |
You give the Spring championship to the Wolves, remember this is an A-caliber team playing a team that was C-league 12 months ago. Toss in a few turnovers for good measure and the score should be lopsided.
Sort of like the Badboyz playing Diesel.
No one should be surprised by these scores.

|
| Agreed...BUT | 09:23 AM |
I was still surprised to see them drop 42, I did a quick double take. |
|
| PAIN #10 | 09:28 AM |
They beat us by executing.. and we lost by NOT executing, Turnovers and field position did play a big factor but the rubber meets the road with one simple word "execution" (IE. pulling flags, throwing, catching, blocking) WE did all of these things very poorly.. We would have lost to ANY team yesterday playing the way we did.. A to C league. |
|
| Agree with Pain#10 | 09:37 AM |
Wolves were clicking, Pain was not. It was clearly not their day yesterday.
Pain has a lot of talent, they just need to get some seasoning. If they stay together, get some consistency, and learn from and correct their mistakes, look for them to quickly become one of the elite A-level teams in this league. |
|
| Vet | 10:11 AM |
Pain does have some good players. They obviously need some seasoning (pulling flags, finding out who fits where best, etc). That stuff will come, but they also need at least one more player of impact either at the QB position, or WR position. Easier said than done. |
|
| Lost depends | 10:11 AM |
that box of depends would be mine. i can`t remember if i brought my denture cream too. btw - medicated gold bond works great to stop chaffing. |
|
| watcher | 10:16 AM |
agree with vet. they need a quality QB and maybe just one more WR. |
|
| what | 10:24 AM |
were you watching? Pain is quite a few players away from being competitive. They have some big guys but they play soft. They`ve got one guy who is about 6-4 250 and he thinks he`s a slot WR. They`ve got a huge left tackle who gets one good shot in and then can`t move his feet. The short quick kid that plays WR/CB is their only top quality player. |
|
| to "what" | 10:37 AM |
The "short quick kid" is good, but he`s not the only quality player on that team. The QB is a good athlete, but his talents can be better utilized at another position. I agree with Vet: if they get a better QB and get better at pulling flags, Pain will definitely make some noise in IFFL |
|
| Give some credit.... | 11:25 AM |
To the Wolves, who have played well all season and have to be the favorites to win the league along with the NOVAs. Didn`t see the game but it sounds like they executed and took advantage of turnovers, which is what good teams do.
PAIN needs time to gel, every time I`ve seen them play it`s like a different squad out there as it looks like things haven`t totally come together. If they had better QB play and can get more consistent, they are a top 8 team in the league. |
|
| to what | 1:40 PM |
Its agreed that they need to gel. Plus, a lot of teams will tell you that 6-4 250 slot WR burned them for some tds this season. They also seem to also have manpower issues. |
|
| Yup | 1:44 PM |
Their big slot guy is a good player on offense. When you have that there though, you want burners at the other 2-3 WR positions. They could use a threat on their line.
They need more speed on defense, but that`s true for most teams. |
