Player, I agree with you. I enjoy playing teams from other leagues,whether it`s in States,the Bark Bowl, etc. We play the Larrys so much it`s like playing your cousins in the backyard every weekend as kids and playing Lazy is like playing the kids from the next block over.

I went to a predominantly white school and they would talk so much trash about the teams we played no matter how much bigger they were then us as long as they were white. As soon as we had to play a predominantly black team they might as well called in sick b/c they were so scared of these guys who were a lot smaller then us, but just faster. If you`re that scared to play in MD whiy don`t you just man up and tell your team that you won`t be playing that day? Or better yet, why don`t you find a league that only allows people from the same neighborhood to play and they don`t travel or allow outsiders? You can bad mouth MD all you want I really don`t care, but we all know why you`re acting like a little ***** so do us a favor and either grow a pair or stay a ***** and call in sick the day you have to go to MD.

READ.It says if you have low seed you come here to play first round that means if you need to come to MD your team suck anyways so at least you get a MD cleat mark stamped on your azz on the way out the door. We have to go to VA to play after that and you dont see us crying so all this talk here about carjacking is a smoke screen and really just says you scared to play a MD team and except for the top teams that I can count on one hand 99% of VA team are soft so I understand why all the crying and hurt feelings because no one out here need a hug when they lose.
When there is 2 MD teams in the championship who are having to drive all the way out there you will not see us crying here on the board about it.

Hey PC. There have already been about 3 fights in this league and between VA only teams so to make it seem like it only happens in MD is ridiculous. We all know what the inference was which is complete BS. If playing in MD was that bad I`m pretty sure Tom would have put an end to it IMMEDIATELY. I won`t mention team or player names, but there a few in this league and I`m willing to bet my house that other people have experienced the same thing in VA.

Now if the issue is soley about the commute I can relate to that, but we all know that you guys are making this about character and stereotypes and that`s BS. I`m sure you wouldn`t appreciate the MD guys posting crap about having to go to VA and worry about getting lynched or harassed by a bunch of red necks. Anyway as stated before, if you as an individual have a serious problem playing in MD and/or against MD teams, then why don`t you just let your captain know in advanced that you won`t be there with your family? My post was to put more of a factual light on things instead of people just popping off at the mouth. I am white I grew up in Downtown Newport News... I get respect where ever I play ball at. So don`t make race an issue. Lets all compromise go down to DC and play there. There are some very nice fields and we can all bring our families and have a great time.

Md. teams do play in the Va. States. They have to play in a play in round first. If they win then they are in. There was one Md. team, that I know of, that got in that way. It is not a bad idea to play the Md. teams becuase you will see them one way or another.

Thats what Im talking about....they ranked in the top 10 in states to I think!

I voted YES, we should compete against MD teams. Why not, we are all athletes and in order to gain or lose we need to compete. If teams in MD are strong, even better for us. We see a whole different level of play which in return; we learn, we see a different level, and most of all Flag Football grows within this region. If VA plays at a higher level then in return we grant our skills to MD; Growth of this league is key. I have been playing in this league for over 7 years, we started with a bunch of teams and now we have divisions at each level. Good job, Rob, Shay, and Tom.

Ft.Washington is the most influential African-American community in the country meaning that Ft. Washington has the highest residential African –American income in the United States. I’m saying that to say that there are no thugs in Ft.Washington there are no open air drug markets. Your safety will not be an issue traveling to Riverview Park.

you guys kill me. The reason our team is named BadBoyz is because at any given time there are 3-5 police officers on the field...get it..badboyz what you gonna do. We have 6 law enforcement officers on our squad, and they got a big laugh out of all the message board bs about "carjacking" and "fearing for our lives" by coming to MD. We volunteered to come play the Bad Boyz because we viewed it as a great tune-up for the playoffs. Win or lose, we got a hard fought game and even a little OT.

I am not knocking teams who do not want to go to MD and play, but as a two-time survivor of the trip to Fort Washington, there is no reason to resort to racial stereotypes. With that said, I am pretty sure I will not be adding The G.O.A.T. to my Christmas card list and if we both can win two more games, look forward to seeing the Bad Boyz again.

It is not about the crime or playing better teams. It is about being a local team and wanting to stay local. It is also about paying more money to play in Fairfax and then being sent to Maryland. If the state of Maryland can not support football teams. Then either drop them or make them come to Virginia and play. It is not a raicial thing or a car jacking thing. It is about being fair to the teams in Va. Also the real good teams in Maryland play 9 man. Besides everyone knows that in Maryland the good teams play in 9 man. The great thing about the Nationals is that there are ALL TYPES of teams and leagues that can enter, and there are some dynamic teams that play in their perspective divisions. Badboyz happen to be a team that has played in 4-man, 5-man, 7-man, 8-man and 9-man divisions. They have been playing together for 10 years and have been quite successful (championship success) in a number of leagues, particular across the State of Maryland.

If you think that they aren`t a good or SERIOUS team, then I guess you`ll just have to wait to play them, and you can make your determination from there.

As one said, it is good for the league as a whole to have more teams who can win games in the combined league! It was a nice change to play in MD. The field was pretty nice and the refs are way more chill then the refs in VA. They just need to bring out more cones for the field.
