watched b teams play and it would be a good game to see them play top novice teams, but i think novice might win close games. |
|
| Sure they can | 09:12 AM |
I think so... Not sayin the top novice team this year can but i`m sure top novice teams of past might be able to beat 500 B teams. Keep in mind the B teams with losing records were most likely top novice teams at one time. Overrated was a top novice team and i`m sure some of the novice teams this year would give them some trouble.

| 100 PERCENT | 10:01 AM |
ANY LEGIT C TEAM CAN BEAT OUTCAST AND GOING DEEP WHICH THEY SHOULD SWITCH SLOTS WITH NOVICE TEAMS,IAM SURE YOU GUYS WILL BRING A GOOD SOLID GAME WHICH THESE TWO CAN NO LONGER DO |

can go either way!! |

| To C Teams | 10:13 AM |
Are you stuck on stupid or stupidly stuck? Have you not seen what happens when a team moves up from the C league? It takes about two years for a team from C to even be competetive in the Open league. Armada and Irreverence are going to have a foot put in thier a*s for the next two years. Enjoy your success now it will be short lived. |
|
| #3 Armada | 10:17 AM |
OK!!!! we got speed!! NUFF SAID!!! |
|
| hahah | 10:19 AM |
haha, a foot put in their a$$... very creative, idiot! |

You dip****, All we are saying is that a good/solid C team can be competitive with a mediocre B team. Noone said anything about your high and mighty "OPEN/A" league. Get that stick outta yo azzz. And stop actiong like u deserve to be in the European league. hahahahahaah |
|
| To C Teams | 10:27 AM |
I would get that "stick outta my azzz", if you guys promise to stop using this messageboard as if it was an instant messenger service. I know co-ed teams that would win the C league. This is the last post from me on this topic. |
|
| TO: To C Teams | 10:29 AM |
Are you a f******* moron or is it hard for you swallow that a top 4 novice teams can beat your bottom feeders. noone said a c leaguers, upon moving up, will rise to the occassion in its 1st season. success is considered winning 2-4 games, hence legitimacy. |
|
| to ALL IDIOTS | 2:12 PM |
Anybody watching out there realize either Armada or Irreverence can beat some b team like Vegas Knights(good chance) or Overrated(for certain). Even the other teams thinks so. Nuff Said! |
|
| 50 | 2:39 PM |
i think off in the showers could beat alot of open league teams. i pick them because they got big/fast dline and oline which i think is the most important in open leagues |
|
| agree | 2:44 PM |
good 1. Off in the shower would prolly make the A playoffs in open league. |
|
| #3 Armada | 2:46 PM |
then how come they lost to hibachi in the playoff and you know none of the hibachi had one diesel Dline or Oline, size wise that is....speed speed and speed son!!
but I do agree that size does help in blocking/rushing esp. in B and A |
|
| How is that | 2:46 PM |
They can`t even win C league but are gonna make the A Open playoffs? |
|
| A leaguer | 2:50 PM |
Ok, here`s the deal. Armada/Irreverence definitely wouldn`t beat Vegas Nights. No way in He77, it`s not happening. Overrated, it`s a closer game but I`d still take Overrated.
Physically, Vegas is too much for both those teams. But more than the physical aspect, it`s the experience that`ll kill them. I`ve watched a couple of the C-league games and you guys haven`t figured out the subtlety of the game yet. That`s why there`s so much trouble with teams moving up.
Give Armada/Irr. a couple of seasons playing Open and I think they`ll be alright. |
|
| #3 Armada | 2:54 PM |
never seen vegas nights play so I can`t say. We`ll try our best and maybe we`ll win and maybe we won`t but it would be fun to see how we do in a higher league.
We did played Overrated last year and lost to them in the final but this year we split into 2 teams and added new players on each teams.
hence our teams Irr./Armada being in the final this year :) |
|
| help me help you! | 3:50 PM |
ok dick vermeil, what are those subtleties? please enlighten us C leaguers...
|
|
| A leaguer | 4:14 PM |
Ok, here`s a freebie, but I`m not giving you anything else.
You guys don`t move your QBs out of the pockets enough. In the C-league it`s not really important cause the rush isn`t as hard/fast (with a few exceptions), so the QB can camp out in the pocket and wait for WRs to get open. That`s one of the biggest weakness when C teams move up, you`ll have less time but the QBs are not used to playing outside the pocket or managing the rush. You have to figure out how to work the rush to buy some time. Using roll outs, dump offs to the linemen, etc. Ask any of the QBs for teams that moved up.
Put a clock on the QBs for this week`s game, if he can get rid of the ball in under 2 seconds, that team might as well move up cause they`re not going to gain any more experience in C. |
|
| sure | 4:14 PM |
they could beat some, like they said last year they were all together..they could beat raw dawgs, prowlers, even hounds probably.. |
|
| 50 | 4:31 PM |
i picked off in the showers cause they got the speed and size to rush the qb and protect their own. n dats more important in open league cause they have less gaps for qb`s to find, so it puts more pressure on qb`s to have more time. |
|
| #6 Armada | 4:35 PM |
ummm... we`re in the C league for a reason. we dont have the experience yet. but i do think there are a few C teams from this year that could beat the BOTTOM FEEDERS in open. now just so you gents dont confuse what i`m sayin with something else, i`ll repeat myself... BOTTOM FEEDERS. i dont think there are any C league teams that would beat any of the top open teams.
although, i do remember a certain C team from the fall... a bunch of korean dudes, i think they were called CCPC... went undefeated in C, moved up to B the next year and went undefeated again and won the B championship... although that was in the fairfax county flag league... |
|
| to all C teams | 7:43 PM |
Get off it man I mean really. Winning in the C league is good and all but don`t let it get to your head. Just ask any of the C teams who moved up what its like in the upper leagues the first time around. You will be lucky if your team doesn`t walk out on you after you start 0-4. Enjoy playing in the C, talk your smack to each other, but please, please, please don`t get too carried away, it will only make you look like a total dip**** next season. CCPC yah they are pretty good but they will NOT go undefeated and win the A this Fall so I hope they are not setting the bar that high. |
|
| onle one team | 7:59 PM |
in the last couple of years has gone from C to open and made it deep in the playoffs. And now they are struggling. |
|
| to Armada | 8:39 PM |
"although that was in the fairfax county league"
trust me. the fall fairfax county league is better than the iffl leagues. |
|
| i agree | 9:29 PM |
they have my plummer, sharks, replacements, sphalding, and a bunch of other good teams.
Are the weeknight league more competitive then the sunday league?
|
|
| Scarry Larry | 9:36 PM |
Typically...not always...week night and saturday leagues just arent as talented as Sunday leagues....throw in downfield blocking and you have the most competitive leagues you can find. |
|
| Scarry Larry | 9:50 PM |
I like the IFFL rules...good competition and you wont get killed for work...
Hell, I say make a A+ division and include travel to MD
Rhinos Lazy BadBoyz Playmakers Novas Wolves Vegas Nights
Now you go undefeated in that division...and your team is good. Each team travels out of state for 2 games and they count.
Thats a 7 game schedule with 4 VA-MD matchups per team....
|
|
| who | 10:34 PM |
Who`s gone from C to A playoffs? I think everyone has struggled. |
|
| Vet | 06:02 AM |
The Fairfax weeknight league is MUCH better than the Sunday leagues in NoVA (especially when looking at the A division). It is the caliber of teams that Scarry mentions PLUS the likes of the Sharks, Kerns and Plumber. The top B+ teams from last year should be there (in A) also. CCPC has done well in C and B and congrats to them for their success. However, with no disrepect intended; they would lose to all of the teams mentioned here. There is always a team or two that plays A league that is not quite ready so there is still a chance to pick up a win or two, but even that wont be easy. Teams moving up should not get discouraged. Learn from it, make the the changes to your teams (playbook, personnel, etc) and stick with it. For the marginal A teams (that are really B teams) it is great experience and practice for VA (B) states. |
|
| A more experienced Vet | 08:28 AM |
Fairfax weeknight is "MUCH" better huh?
Here is the final four from the Fairfax weeknight A League last Fall:
1) Novas 2) Sharks 3) Lazy 4) Coyotes
Here is the final four from the Sunday Spring league:
1) Novas 2) Wolves 3) Bad Boyz (who beat Lazy) 4) Outlaws
The mighty Kerns and My Plumber that you mentioned finished under 500 and below Invequity who is a B league team that moved up.
Do you still think top to bottom the weeknight league is "MUCH" better than Sunday? |
|
| highest of the experienced vets! | 09:09 AM |
And your mighty wolves (former lions) were 2-7 in the fairfax fall league. Take it from someone whos played in all of these leagues, the fall fairfax weeknight league is the best in the area. |
|
| Not | 09:23 AM |
The only reason the Fairfax League is deemed the better league is because you have some teams that have won some state and national titles competing. But those teams have fallen and are no longer what they used to be. So the Fairfax league is not the almighty league it once was. |
|
| Everyone knows | 09:29 AM |
the fairfax fall weeknight A league has much better teams and players regardless of the records of the teams last fall. Yes, Kerns and Plumber would do very well in the Spring league, if they showed up.
why dont you ask the top teams in the Spring IFFL and get their opinion? The spring league (except for the top 4 or so teams) is basically a B league on average.
|
|
| Snap Ahead | 09:41 AM |
Lions team the last year had only 3 Wolves players on it. Ohhhhh!!! |
|
| equal | 09:42 AM |
Basically it comes down to Sharks, Kerns, and MP. Adding Maryland teams to the IFFL, I would say that the two leagues are about equal. Historically the night league has been tougher, but that`s no longer the case. |
|
| KING OF ALL VETS | 1:29 PM |
Kerns and MP stunk it up they both lost a ton of players to other teams and are no longer to be considered elite. No way either one of those teams beats Bad Boyz, Wolves or Novas today. Novas beat the Sharks 2x last Fall. Whoever you are you must not play in weeknight A Ball or would have seen this first hand last year like everyone else playing A Ball did. You must be a brand name arm chair expert but the problem is no one is buying those brand names anymore bucky. Also you must be ignorent too if you don`t know what happened to MP coach (GOD REST HIS GOOD SOUL) or you don`t know what is going on with Kerns etc. Come out this Fall and watch some A Ball to get yourself caught up from 1999. |
|
| I agree | 1:36 PM |
The glory days of the FFXL are over. Let it go. |
|
| A True Observer | 2:05 PM |
If you guys don`t mind...
Tell me more about the night fairfax league.
Where do they play, and what nights?
How many teams are in it?
Is it the IFFL league rules or not?
Oh...and do you have to be in some VA membership to enter?
Sounds like the competition is good. |
|
| Weeknight | 2:13 PM |
I think there`s a link to the website on the homepage. With a few exceptions, most of the IFFL Spring teams play in the Fall weeknight league. Mondays - Thursday, one game a week. Same rules, it`s pretty fun playing at night. Anyone can play but the traffic makes it tough for Marylanders to get to the early games. |
|
| FCFFL vet | 2:16 PM |
I`d love to see badboyz join the FCFFL weeknight league in the fall. The more real A caliber teams that you can get in one division, the more fun the season is. You get intense games every week. Maybe we can get playmakers out there too. Imagine...BBs, playmakers, wolves, novas, lazy, plumber, kerns, sharks, rhinos? Anyone i forget? thats a fun leauge...teams bringing it every week |
|
| Scarry Larry | 2:22 PM |
Weeknights in Fairfax is hard for a MD team to commute...lets do it on a weekend...but I do agree with the thought of loading up the talent...we aint getting any better beating teams we are supposed to beat. |
|
| Rhnos92Locs | 2:25 PM |
We would love to play FCFFL weeknights but we can`t get enough commitment on weeknights. So is the case with other teams as well. Our full squad plays IFFL Sunday in the fall. The one year we did decide to play in the FCFFL without our regulars we brought in a bunch of new players and it was a disaster. So now we have some guys playing on other teams in the FCFFL and our full squad on Sundays.

| The Game | 3:38 PM |
I play 4 overrated, we beat both of those teams last year because they where the same team last year.We got are ass kicked this year in b, they would get killed by any b team. |
|
| yes you did | 3:48 PM |
but they were all close games. We led on some occasions at the half. I dont think you walked over us.
Just goes to show you that a BIG line is needed for the higher league. Where can I recruit 3 6`4 240+ lbs linemans? |
|
| funny guy | 3:50 PM |
I doubt united, diesel, overrated, union and clubhouse would KILL any of the top 4 or 5 teams in C.. Win yes, Kill NO..

I don`t think he ever said they walked all over you guys. Recap.
They beat you guys They got their butt whipped You`ll get your butt whipped
Don`t be so sensitive. |

United and Diesel would wax you guys if the games counted. Overrated would be favorite. Toss up with Union. You might be favorites against Clubhouse. |
|
| ladder | 3:57 PM |
we should have a B/C league football ladder. Where teams can only challenge 1-2 spots up. Challenges have to be accepted within a reasonible length of time, else the challenger will take the challengee`s spot.
no more heresay and what ifs..
"A" teams need NOT apply. We already know u can whip the C teams..
|
|
| WORKS BOTH WAYS? | 4:57 PM |
OUTCAST AND GOING DEEP SHOULD DROP TO C AND LET YOU GUYS GIVE US A GAME |
