5. Playmakers

SAY WHAT5:08 PM

WHO DO THE NOVAS HAVE AS THEIR DB`S? JUST ASKING BECAUSE I HAVEN`T HEARD ABOUT THEM ALL SEASON.

Sidelines6:19 PM

Novas DB`s are pretty sound. They don`t make too many mistakes and are great flag pullers. I think the top teams would agree they are one of the best.

2 Cents7:55 PM

I would say Wolves are #1 because they play a lot of man D.

did8:56 PM

the guy who made this list see Lazy play the
Bad Boyz?

YIKES8:58 PM

NOVAS are good, but number one?

Truth09:24 AM

Whom ever plays man and give`s up only a few points all season has to get the nod. The Lions/Wolves have always played man and rarely get beat. Dangerous and ballsey.

A True Observer09:44 AM

Any of us who`s responding on behalf of BBz can only go by who BBz have played...

BBz have played Wolves, Outlaws, Rhinos, Diesel and Lazy, and of course the MD crew.

For DBs

Rhinos
Wolves
Bad Boyz
Playmakers

Don`t know about anyone else...

Open your eyes12:05 PM

I watched the one Playmaker DB get worked all day by NOVA`s. I think he played on the left side.

Not necessarily a "True" observer12:56 PM

but more of a logical observer...

If the Wolves won a championship in a league as pass oriented as ours... wouldn`t you have to say they have the best DB`s?

To Open your eyes2:40 PM

Agreed...Playmakers WR`s are NASTY, but their DB`s are average at best. The one tries to play bump on the receievers and can`t hold his line...if the receiver gets off the line, he`s toast

A True Observer3:01 PM

Gentlemen:

A team winning the championship isn`t JUST about whether or not they have good DBs. It has more to do with how they play together as a team. Wolves are an organized team with good chemistry. The Baltimore Ravens had VERY good DBs (and defense) this year, but they didn`t win it all.

In playing against both Rhinos and Wolves, I found that the DBs for the Rhinos were a better group then those for the Wolves. If anything, Wolves DL was real good to throw off our QB as much as they did. Remember, the score was 21-20, not by a large margin, but the Rhinos versus BBz went into OT.

Lastly, in my line-up, I rated Playmakers behind the Wolves.

Agree3:27 PM

have to agree with Observer--solid team D makes good DB`s better. A great pass rush means less coverage time and less QB accuracy. The Rhinos and Novas are blueprints for successful defense. Both play great disciplined team D (therefore give up fewer big plays), have a strong pass rush, have enough speed and smarts to play man or zone, and most importantly Pull Flags like a MUTHA!!! The LB`s from both those teams pull everything.

Guys remeber you can only bump one time in our league so we have to let the man go. If we can hold our bump for as long as the ball is not in the air, than that guy would have never got off the line or off his ass.
