When I was younger I played on the usual local club soccer team. Then in the summer the coaches from the areas local clubs selected the elite players from all the local club teams to form a select travel team. So basically if you got selected you played for two teams (your original team and a travel/all-star team). Sort of like the USA men`s basketball team. I was just thinking that our league could do something like that maybe for states and nationals or perhaps other tournaments? The team would have practices and would consist of about 25-30 players. What do you guys think?

they did that b/c soccer players are p*ssies. maybe you could be lead cheerleader for the all star team down at states...sure aren`t playing on it.

Here are a few things:
1. It`s against the rules to put together an `All Star` team for States or Nationals. A team must qualify for states and nationals through there league play.
2 . I proposed this last year after our All Star game was rained out last year but it fell on deaf ears. I did it in attempt to compete in a couple of summer tournaments. One of them being a VA Beach tournament.
3. If their is enough demand, I`d be willing to assist in coordinating this.

if you want it done try recruiting the 25 best players and sign up for one of the leagues and qualify for states w/ that team...

This is useless, and will never happen.
