What about Big Ron ?

What3:15 PM

Did he play this year?

i will4:02 PM

have to put vegas nights qb in top 5

Sidelines6:21 PM

I wouldn`t take Vegas Nights QB over any of the top 5 QB`s. Sorry

what?8:54 PM

I love reading these lists b/c there is always some angle. I agree that the BB QB is the best and carries that team along with their DL, but after that??? IF these are the top 10 QBs, then that means our league`s QBs aren`t very good.

re: what?9:28 PM

What other QB`s are you thinking of?

I would agree on 90% of what is on that list.

Interesting07:52 AM

I would of moved United to the 10th spot and move AM&M and Diesel one notch up.

My vote08:57 AM

Is that the top 5 are all about the same.. each with a slightly better edge in some areas than others. But none really head & shoulders above the rest.

As for the next 5... they`re all a notch below... good athletes that can play a little bit of QB.

Rhinos92Locs09:00 AM

I love these meaningless debates. The posts over the last few days had me actually doing work at work. Isn’t that a novel idea? Anyway, here is my two and a half cents on the topic. If you look at each QB’s tenure in the league including Fairfax weeknights, you would have to put the Bad Boyz QB at 7 and put the Vegas Nights QB at 6. The reason behind this is that the top 5 (in no particular order) QBs (Rhinos, Lazy, Novas, Wolves, Dietz Nuts) have titles (IFFL/Fairfax) under their belt which would bump the BBs QB to 7. The VNs QB would move to 6 because of their B title and the fact that he took his team to the Bark Bowl championship game. However, if the BBs had won the title this year, their QB would have been in the top 5 and the Wolves QB pushed to 7. Are you following me? Are you with me? If you’re lost, raise your hand. However, the author of the thread didn’t rank the QB’s based on their tenure with the league he ranked them based on their Spring ‘07 performance. So to be consistent with my logic of ranking QBs, I would have to make one adjustment to the top 7. In prior posts I have talked about the QB being the lifeline of the team and that your team will only go as far as your QB takes them. After the QB it’s the Oline. ( If the posts go dead over the next few weeks, I may start a post on my logic on how a versatile Oline can separate your team from the rest of the pack.) Now back to my adjustment to the top 7. (It hurts me to say this.) For Spring ’07 you would have to take the Rhinos QB out of the top 7 and put the VN QB in the top 7. Reason being the QBs in the top 7, if you made that switch, would have either taken their team to either the final four, semi-final or won the title.

A True Observer09:28 AM

Rhinos:

I was under the impression that the guy (ESPN) who started this post was talking about individual athleticism, not how far one takes his team. Peyton Manning JUST one the Super Bowl, but do you take him out of the top 5 over the past 7 years - I don`t think so kid.

I maybe wrong, but I think that the intentions of "ESPN" was athleticism, and if it was - I think BBz QB would definitely be in the top 5.

Rhinos92Locs09:41 AM

If were talking pure individual athleticism, then that list really becomes convoluted. I would have to put Sef at No.1 and then the BBs QB at No.2. It`s hard for me to put Sef at No.2 when I`ve seen the bastard jump over a damn car when going out of bounds and having seen his athleticism take titles out of my hand. Another name to throw in the fray, if were just talking about pure individual atleticim is Jaimie from Overated. Jamie is under the radar right now but as his team improves you`ll be hearing more about him.

A True Observer09:50 AM

Rhinos:

Now we are talking...

As I stated on another posts...the assessment is based on BBz having only played Rhinos, Lazy, Outlaws, Diesel, Wolves out of VA and the MD teams.

Bad Boyz
Lazy (Last year`s Turkey Bowl)
Vegas Nights (their main QB)

Diesel`s QB was pretty good too.

c`mon Rhino11:27 AM

this is about the best QB, not who`s team has won the most or who can jump over a car.

Sef is a great athlete/player, but he`s not even the best QB on his team and that kid from Overrated is a deceptively good runner, but he can`t throw.

The guy I haven`t seen mentioned is the QB from Outcast. He`s a top 5 guy easy (BB, Dietze/Outlaws, Wolves, Vegas).

re: c`mon Rhino11:30 AM

You gotta be kidding about the Outcast QB being top 5. I wouldn`t take him over any of the 10 listed.

then11:37 AM

you don`t know much about QBs

re: c`mon Rhino11:45 AM

I know enough that he is not top 10.

Rhinos92Locs11:50 AM

To c`mon Rhino:

If you look at my logic, in my opinion you have to have had success to be an elite QB in this league. If you haven`t had success it`s hard for me to argue that you are an elite QB in this league. You may be good but your not one of the elite, which this post is about. And no it’s not about jumping over cars but whenever I get a chance to mention it, I do. It was just some sick sh*t to witness at the time.

Now who’s the better QB on Lazy I’ve seen that debated on many threads. Both are very good QB’s. I think Von has the better mechanics and Sef is a threat to go all the way every time he touches the ball. In my opinion, I think I would put Von at QB so that I can have both on the field at the same time and make my offense more versatile. But that’s a debate for another day.

Outcast QB is another good QB that deserves to be mentioned. They won the B title last year and he is another very athletic QB. I think he hasn’t been mentioned for Spring ’07 because he had a season ending injury. I may be wrong someone from Outcast can correct me if I’m wrong.

Leave the Rhino alone12:54 PM

He`s gotta point... plus his QB was given way too much credit for a guy that couldn`t even score on Mutiny.

My Vote II1:24 PM

I would agree with the top QB`s in this league are separated from the bottom 5. I would move up the Wolves QB and move down the Outlaws one. Again, championships count in this league and the Outlaws have rotated QB during this season as well. United & Diesel QB`s are more "athletes" than QB`s but they are also young and learning the position. Novas QB is solid based on wins. Did not really see Vegas & All Makes to make a assessment on them.

overrated3:26 PM

not trying to start anything..but jaime can defintely pass..but if you seen were very weak at receiver. so jaime dosen`t get many good opps to throw, he`s running his a$$ off half the game. his arm is strong as i`ve seem them trust me i know. i`m still recovering from my broken finger that he about destroyed..haha it`s all good though jamie..

curious4:01 PM

do you know stick 9?

baller4:07 PM

stick 9 that`s qb from M&G he is a mad money qb..

visitor5:16 PM

#9 from M&G B talent. SHARKS SHARKS SHARKS

m&g6:54 PM

b talent?????i remember comin up to the bark bowl with 9 players last year and losing to a sharks team 14-13 because we went for two with no time left instead of one. we could have sent it to overtime if we would have liked. we had 9 players and the sharks had twenty and they beat us by one!

you might want to watch who u callin b talent.

F the Past8:47 PM

I remember a team you faced at states. They would have won but the ref took back the TD because the WR. hopped over the goal line. Not dive or jump just a little hop. So you better watch it too.

dot21 (m&g)11:52 PM

I dont care if we come up with 9 or 20, I just love going up there and playing. Doesnt matter who you play, it gonna be a good game cuz everyone is solid, A, B, C, who cares. Our team usually doesnt get into a sh^t talking battle, so lets not start now. Stick fits our play perfect. But we`ve also received a bad taste of Sef, and NOVA`s and Kern`s QB in the past. And most of the teams have welcomed us in to playing in your tourney with opened arms, so I`d prefer to leave it as that. See you guys in August.

almost06:39 AM

won with 9

quit crying 2107:56 AM

stay at home and mount a sheep if u cant cut it cuz, WAH WAH

m&g08:12 AM

glad to see the class is the fairfax league has took a dip since last year.

mind ur business12:52 PM

first of all m&g, your team came on this post talking about your qb when no one asked. this post was talking about the top qbs in our league this season. you don`t see anyone from our league posting on your league`s website talking about their team. so save your posts about your team for posts dealing dealing with the bark bowl.

To M&G3:11 PM

Haha...the class of the league hasn`t taken a dip, its just all the decent guys who enjoyed the messageboard before quit posting b/c of the 3 or 4 idiots that like to trash and hide behind their anonymity. You guys always put up tough competition and I wouldn`t mind seeing you beat up on a few of the **** talkers in the bark bowl. i know i`m not the only one tired of hearing all their b.s. Best of luck.

novas wr

m&G3:20 PM

thanks nova. we was just kiddin around when we said stick. not like we were talkin crap or anything. so there will be no more post from us. we dont play the trash talking game. we been a class act from day one and always will be.

dot214:24 PM

Yeah, thanx NOVA. Either i was misunderstood or caught someone on a bad day. I wasnt the orginal "m&g" that mentioned stick. Once i saw where it was headed, i just got on here to hopefully keep my teamate from any other posts. And like i said, your league has some of the best QB`s weve ever faced between Sef, NOVA QB, and guy from Kerns. But i shouldve said everybody, cuz whoever we play up there always turns into a hell of a game. Anyways, whoever i rubbed the wrong way, sorry dude, and see you guys soon. Does Ty still play for you guys (NOVA)? I still have flashback from 04 state cship game, last pay of 1st half.

Sef 818:29 PM

Don`t worry about these computerized gangstas on here. The cats who`ve played your squad knows your q is good at what he does. See you on the field homie.

broad minded07:40 AM

That "b talent" you are talking about would start for 90 % of the teams in this league and their team would have a damn good chance of being in the final four if they played in this league. They are also good guys and have better sportmanship than you see around here lately. Go ahead and sleep on them if you want or talk about things you don`t know anything about but most of us know better.

m&g5:07 PM

thanks fellas. it means alot you all takin up for us. we have tried to build up a good rep around the state. we made the championship game of the bark bowl one year and lost to kerns on a last second field goal. we won states last year and now are a full fledged a team never goiong back to b. and if u play us in the bark bowl u will realized u played a class and a good team.

and thanks sef.....chances are we going to see u again at some point in this tournament for another great game. this year hopefully we wont blow our 19-6 halftime lead like last year. see u down there. does dre still play for you guys?? ill need to bring my earplugs if he does. haha. just kiddin dre. i like that guy.

one more2:12 PM

Don`t forget Vaughn from Lazy.

????3:59 PM

what does m&g stand for? what team is that?

????4:01 PM

mashed potatoes & gravy

????08:23 AM

In that case, I LOVE M&G!! Especially with some KFC!

United 227:48 PM

Top QB in my opinion ONLY!
OutLaws "Napolion Dynomite" used to be with Dietz Nuts. By far the best QB in this Spring League. Cool, Calm, and Poise.
Lazy Sundae. Good mix between Vaughn and Sef. Those two can get the job done, one or the other will get you!
BadBoys. I heard he is the new generation.
Rhinos. I have watched him play and he is solid.
OutCast. Played against him for years and nobody brings it like him. He has stayed at the same strength and speed for over 6 years now.
