Now that teams have been scrimmaging, what are people seeing? any surpise teams? any new looks?

Mutiny has a beast of a linebacker, but I`m sure that`s been known for a while.

Teams withy good Lb`s are tougher than you think. If you are lucky enough to have Lb`s that are quick, pull flags well, and pass cover than the rest of your D is better. If your Lb`s suck, than your safety is left covering a line man, puts your db`s on an island, and still leaves doubt with flag pulls. After the play is on the way and the D is spread over the field, its often that the flag pull of a LB can be the difference between 5 yds and 35yds... Maybe more teams should concentrate on quality in critical positions, like someone who will be trying to make 4-10 flag pulls a game...

Agreed. And this guy was a great flag puller, as was one of their tackles.

good linebackers are a dime a dozen. easy to find.

Guys who THINK they are good linebackers are a dime a dozen. Truly good linebackers are rare. `to so lucky` is dead on, a good LB is the difference in a 5 yard gain or a 30 yard gain on a hitch or a quick slant route.

I don`t think we`re weak. We didn`t do well last year, but you`ll have that with a bunch of guys who haven`t played together before. I think we`ll do alright for ourselves this season.

just keep your reliance on your LBs. youll go far. you talk like youre A league.

you talk like A league people are gods or pros or something. I bet you play for an A league team and think so highly of yourself. Get off your high horse and get real. I swear there`s people on this board who swear they know everything. Most of the time those are the people who`s ship has long sailed and they`re still bitter they `didnt make it.`

The guy thats talking all that mess is probably a receiver and is just bitter he never gets the ball thrown his way. I agree that LB`s play a key role in stopping an offense.

A strong middle LB can make a big difference. He has to be able to cover the QB, any RB`s that might come out of the backfield, and any OL that might release. So, aside from a having a strong DL; having strong LB`s can take a whole lot of pressure off your secondary.

This post came from talking about what people have seen from teams this preseason to a girly debate about what makes a defense. The whole team needs to be solid. Period. But back to the point of this post, what teams have been a suprise this preseason...

Hey we scrimmage the midgets couples of weeks ago. They are a whole new team from the fall. Their D is good needs a little work. Their O is solid. Their QB is solid I would watch for him.

Diesel is a good team. their only downfall is the few recievers on their team who think their 5hit dont stink.

We are new to the league and we played the midgets yesterday and I tell you what the made some good changes since there fall season of 0-8. The QB is crazy good. He just could be stop. Their D is soild. I tell you what watch out for them.

THESE THREE COULD COMPETE IF THEY HAD A AVERAGE QB,ALL THREE ARE WAY BELOW AVERAGE QBS AND THERE SEASON WILL REFLECT THAT

If the Rhonos still use the old church raiders Qb, then they are fine, just aging. Diesel, I cant say because we have never played them, but I have heard good and bad things, which tells me in time he can become a consistant QB. Mutiny`s team changes with their QB, I remember playing them about ummm 3 years ago when they had this shorter Vick like QB (fast and elusive), passing was the same, but the extra yards from the rush/scramble made them more of a threat. I would say that Mutiny is in the most need of a QB out of the 3.

Obviously you have no idea what you are talking about. Rhino`s have one of the elite QB`s in the league. Why else have they been pretty successful in past few years. Diesel has two good QB`s and are a double pass threat.

BETWEEN THESE TWO JELLY ARMS THEY COULD NOT MAKE ONE QB,RHINOS SPANDEXXY QB IS DONE AND WASHED UP JUST LIKE BRETT FARVE

Diesel has one very strong QB who may be the most underrated in the league. Their other QB has a solid arm but not as good overall.
Rhinos QB (spandex boy) is overrated but the do win.

diesel`s qb is damn good from what i have seen so far...we will see what happens when it counts.

Diesel picked up a WR that`s pretty nice, and with the push they made last season to win the B league they could give a lot of teams a good run.

Talking about the asian kid - He`s alright. I`ve seen him somewhere else though. If you`re talking about the guy who talks a lot - try again.
