if practice squad finally got it together or just got lucky and faced a tired roudie bunch team, but whatever they did before this past week`s game, it helped a lot. They didn`t look like a 1-4 team. But I look for the 3 teams dropping down to make some noise in the post season.

PS is DEF the sleeper team. They got good guys, and if they put it together (for once) they`ll be hard to beat.

Im confused. How is Team America considered #1 whaen they havnt beaten a quality opponent? Sure they put up alot of points but who wouldnt against the teams they played. umm actually I think were all gonna find out what ur all about. CN has had the toughest schedule so far and beat everyone. everyone knows CN is legit...question is can you guys hang? personally I`ve seen both teams play and TA would probably have 2 Ls with CNs schedule.

cn/prowlers was their #3 emergency QB and iirc he threw 2 picks in the endzone. dont get too excited. the 13-0 psquad game is impressive to me for TA though.

game is kind of hard to judge since both teams lacked key players. Both PS and TA had their qb`s missing and PS didn`t know their qb wouldn`t show until THE END of the game.

TA better strap up ur jocks cuz its gonna b a good ladies. We`ll show you what its like to play a real defense. I dont care who you have played and what the outcome of those games have been but I promise you its not gonna be a cupcake game like the other ones. While I think TA is a quality team, comparing their outing against us to CN`s outing against us isn`t fair. As an earlier poster noted, we didn`t have our starting QB, 2 Starting WR`s, our best flag puller and we were missing a starting o-lineman. I`m not making excuses for our loss, but I wanted to put it in perspective. CN played our full out starting squad. TA didn`t, and from what I understand, they didn`t have their full out starters either.

No doubt, our offense and your defense will both be tested June 1.

Definitely a great way to end the regular season. Can`t ask for much more than #1 vs. #2. Win lose or draw both teams should head into the playoffs a little better than they were. Bring all your players, and bring your A game.

I agree about the Penetrators, they had some good players last fall. Their QB was acurate with quick release, #20 on their team was a speedster and Da Hype was a good pass rusher. I hope they`re all back, I want to watch them play :)

looked VERY good against CN on Sunday -- they are the most solid team in C. Good pass rush, mobile QB, good secondary.

TA has got to be the favorite heading into the playoffs. A good cover 3 may slow them down, but that`s about it.

TA hasnt played QH, WP, or Midgets - thats a combined 15-5-1 record that they havent played

C league is split down the middle with good and bad teams. In my opinion there is no clear cut favorite. Any one of the good teams could knock other good team off and it would not be considered an upset. I wish we could get an extra half hour to play this weekends games.

on the other hand, those teams have only had difficult games in...:

qh: chuck norris loss, wolf pack loss
wp: midgets huge LOSS, qh win, cn loss
midgets: CN loss, wp raping

i`m not a TA apologist or supporter, i really think they`ll have a lot of trouble against the Midgets, but it`s not their fault they were given that schedule. It`s rare that you`re going to face all of the top teams in a season anyways, unless you`re cactus (midgets, qh, TA and then CN? ouch). All I know is that TA`s 7-0, and they`ve done it convincingly so far.

CN had the same schedule as cactus, easily the toughest schedule in C. We`ll see if CN can bounce back tonight against cactus.

Why do the open teams coming down automatically drop to the 8 9 and 10 spots? Granted none of the open teams coming down have a win - but, like it or not, it is a different level of compeition up there - not saying the is nec. a huge talent gap - but just the pure organization and experience of some of the better teams that have been playing together for 5+ years.

Seems like there is a pretty good chance that the best game in the playoffs could be in the second round TA vs. the winner of the 8 v 9 game.

I`ve played The Penetrators, but that was last fall. No idea about Grand Hustle or Liger (except that Liger sounds pretty bad).

No, Team America is NOT a shoe-in against The Penetrators, if it`s the same core guys we played against last year. Their QB is accurate, has a quick release and a strong arm. They have a guy who is one of the fastest I`ve seen in C and a really good pass rusher.

And before someone comes on here bashing me because they haven`t won in Open, I`m basing this on C league standards, but looking at their season this Spring, they were close in a lot of games, including a 14-17 loss to Dietz.

best potential 2nd round matchup has to be the PSQUAD - MIDGETS game. They played the first game of the season, and it was in my opinion, the best game I watched on the sideline this year. Down by 1, Midgets QB threw deep touchdown with 12 seconds left to win 26-20. The game was going back and forth and I expect another close game between these two on Sunday should they meet.
