If your player looking for a team, the CCR NOVAS will be having trying out for this year. If you interested you can contact me at my e/m address SMAT3692@AOL.COM. Be sure to leave a good contact number and I will get back to you. The Novas are fully sponsored team so there is no team fee to play. All we want are guys that want to win and that are committed to playing. This fall the CCR Novas will be playing in the FX "A" night league and the Arlington County league. |

number 1: no one says "bro" anymore ***. number 2: shay`s been involved in both ffx and iffl leagues since their inceptions. They`re both sister leagues and if he feels like posting on here, he`s got more reason to than you...punk |

To reiterate, if it was not for Shay there would be no IFFL. |

Maybe at first but he has little to do with it now. It has been the Tom & Rob show for a long time know. |

| question | 07:34 AM |
if the message board is NOT to be used by free agents to post, is it ok for teams to post open tryouts like this? |

I apologize for any misunderstanding but I will try to answer your all the statements that have been posted about this. As far as posting for tryouts, Yes you can, we have never had a policy for teams or coaches posting for tryouts or looking for players. No, we do not want Free Agents to post on the MB because we have a FA list. As far as me posting before I did I checked with Tom since I am one of the guys that help run the league to make sure it was OK and he said it was.
Last but not least yes I started the IFFL with Bruce Ward back in 1991 and have remained one of the commish since. Twice in seventeen years I`ve been away from running the league 2003-2004 and the last fourteen months, but both times I was gone I had a good excuse.
Tom and Rob have covered for me both times. Trust me this is a three man operation with lots of work that goes into to running the IFFL and FX and I put a lot more work on Rob and Tom this last year and half being gone and as any good friend they covered for me and took on extra work load when they didn`t have to. I will be moved back to FX in one week and back to running the league with Tom and Rob 100%, and looking forward to it.
Once again sorry for any confusion on this matter and if anybody wants to contact me please feel free to do so on my e/m address SMAT3692@AOl.COM

Shay`s been out due to military activity, so if we fired him the govt would come after us - thus we took him back in ;) |

Also, any other coaches may post try out sessions as well. |

I am thinking about trying out for the NOVA`s, but am concerned that I will bring the median age down. |

Brett that was a good one and very true, you need to be an active member of AARP and or collecting Social Security benies to tryout...lol |
