hasn`t beaten anyone worth their weight in marshmallows, wait til they play someone good before ranking them. Obviously the Diesel team they beat isn`t the real Diesel team. Whether or not the Diesel team of right now should even be in B is debatable, but thats for another thread.

The other top teams are all solid, Pain and PKL both played Vegas nights to narrow losses at S&S where PKL beat Outlaws in the consolation bracket final. Pain lost to a tough frontline team who Mutiny went on to beat in the bark bowl before losing to sharks in the semi`s. They also beat outcast in the bark bowl. They have played well recently and drew pain this spring. PKL lost in what I consider a 1 in 10 flop to a weak goldrush team. United the returning champions have been playing like just that, champions. I haven`t seen Outlaws yet, but they are coming off A playoffs. They should be solid as usual, while diesel appears to be back to their old ways. I`m tempted to rank them 1 if this is the complete team that was 8-0 in open. But I won`t because they scrubbed it out, came to B in what appears to be a scumbag attempt at some more hardware.

I`ll stop there because I believe any of these teams playing up 100% of their ability would beat any other B teams playing up to 100% of their ability. That being said, we all know that for whatever reason, some teams just don`t play good sometimes, even all the way to the NFL level. That why we show up, any given sunday...

All of those teams are very competitive with one another. A lot of questions should be answered this week as we take on Pain, Outlaws v Diesel and United v Larrys.

Finally a decent thread and discussion. I also agree that a lot of questions will be answered this weekend. Is Larry`s still a threat with some of their regulars missing? Is Diesel back to the A level squad they had last season? Has Pain turned the corner to become an elite team? This weekend has some good matchups.

I have to agree, finally a few posts in a row within this thread that are worth reading. As the last couple of people said, good games this week on tap.

1) United - You stay the champ until someone knocks you off.
2) Diesel - They looked unstoppable against TF. The reunion tour continues.
3) Mutiny and Pain - Played to a tied in the first game of the season, will be between these two for the National Division title.
5) PKL - Have a C championship, made noise in the open in the Spring and should clean house with Pain being the only challenge left on their schedule.
6) Outlaws - Solid team that does enough to win, week in and week out. Add in a great kicker and they get an edge over the rest of the teams.
7) Arsenals - Efficient, quick and great chemistry.
8) Larrys - Been around forever, experience and a couple studs make them a tough game.
9) Penetrators - Look reborn since the `merger` with the Titans. Nasty speed and new found confidence gave them the Reston Cup and make them dangerous.

And that`s where I have to stop. The only 2 teams remaining in B with winning records are PS and Chuck Norris.

I can`t put PS at #10 because their SOS is way too weak. Yes, they beat Diesel, but not the same Diesel that`s playing now. Honestly, they`ve beaten who they were supposed to beat. Let`s see what happens in the next 3 weeks. They play a Midgets team that took the Outlaws to the wire and then the Outlaw the next week. After that they draw United. PS could easily be 3-3 in 3 weeks.

And I can`t put CN at #10 for the same reason. When they played the Penetrators they got smoked 42-7 and then they went and beat 2 teams they were familiar with and who had also just made the move up from C in Genocide and Team America.

Why is Diesel ranked so high? They just played the bottom two teams back to back and lost to PS. Diesel should be in the middle of the pack at best.

I would put PKL in over PS. Both look good, but when PKL clicks, they are tough to beat. Kinda iffy with Pain and Mutiny, to good solid teams that tied each other, so either could be 2 or 3.

Because United, though they`ve had a good run, have played teams in unfortunate situations. Granted they have won a bunch lately, I think time will show that they are an average team at best that had some bounces go there way.

No United hater here, i`m just being real. United had 2 easy games and barely won the game against Arsenals. They will lose against Larrys because Larrys shut them out last season. United is going down hill...3-3 by 10/19.

Back on topic, Pain is looking pretty nasty. The short guy (no offense) on their team has crazy speed and Hokies kept trying to test him when he played CB. He picked it off and ran it back for a TD.

hasnt played anyone since their reunion tour...but I did notice that they smoked TF and TF smoked Midgets

TF just didn`t even send rushers after the Diesels QB. He would stand there for about 10 seconds before he would throw. Since then the Midgets must have been recruiting some people. There is only about 8 or 9 people in team picture but they had at least 18 people at the last game.

Maybe they got rid of that hot head, #60....and they should get rid of that safety, #1. They both do not play their positions well.

First week Midgets were not the same as third week Midgets. They were STACKED playing against Outlaws.

TF just needs to get their defense all on the same page. Their O-line seems a bit suspect too as their QB was scrambling around most of the time.

1. DIESEL IS NUMBER 1 BECAUSE THEY GOT THERE TEAM BACK FROM ACID WHICH MEANS NOTHING UNTIL THE PLAY A PROVEN SQUAD LIKE THE OUTLAWS THIS WEEKEND AND FROM WHAT I`VE SEEN THE WINNER OF THAT GAME WILL BE #1 ON MY BOARD.

Pain. solid team finds a way to win but has not been really tested this fall yet but i like them at 2 or 3 because they are tough.
Pkl i feel should not even be considered in top 5, from what ive seen they are a 500 team at best but its still early.
5.Outlaws like i said could be a top 3 team depending on there game this week against diesel.
and with these top 5 teams united could be put in from of any of these teams because they are the champs.

Because of the QB situation and bringing back those 3 guys to play DB makes their D the best in the league. It`s sad to say, but those 4-5 guys make a huge difference in this division that is wide open. United doesn`t suck at all, but they are really not a very good team either. QB can`t throw, is a huge *****, and their pass rush is weak. That they won the B playoffs in the Spring shows me how weak and close together the middle of the open division was last year.

Diesel is the best team because they are the only true A squad in this league with the old roster back. I don`t believe Andy did it on purpose at all; in fact, I think the douchebags that left to go to Acid really believed that they were good enough to make a ****ty team a great squad in B. Well, they were wrong, and they look pretty dumb for running back to Diesel and Andy looks even dumber for taking them back after they left him hanging because they collectively choked in the playoffs last year.

Despite all the Diesel hating, I`ve have to thank them for entertaining the league with all their drama. It`s like the IFFL soap opera. They break up and get back together and do great things. I never met him personally but I don`t think Andy is not dumb for taking back his former players. I consider him the Jerry Jones in the IFFL. I`m looking forward to see how their reunion tour goes.

Diesels has the same players as last year?

I saw most of United`s playoff games last year and a friend to some of the players. The only team they mentioned that was tough in their playoff run was the Hokies. Not to mention that most of their player graduated from Tech.

I keep reading that United`s QB is soft and cries throughout the entire game. I`ve read it on several threads, unless it was the same person posting it. Is this true? Who`s their QB?

My top 5 would be:

1. Diesel - plays well together on both side of the ball
2. United - chemistry and brains
3. Outlaws - has always been a solid team
4. Pain - can`t sleep on them
5. Mutiny - solid D

Diesel, United, OutLaws, Mutiny, and Arsenal. How you place them is your opinion!!! This is not college poll, IFFL has a playoff system so you know who is #1 at the end. UNITED is the defending champs. QB soft, cries, and dives... whatever? 80% of the B league teams would love to sign him, cause he wins. Diesel is fast, athletic, and coach/QB haters..whatever... 70% of the B league would love to sign him, cause he wins. OutLaws they have a winning percentage every year. As for Mutiny and Arsenal.... both young, improving, and are the future of this league. Stop hating and start practicing, that way when you lose or win, you know where you stand in this league.

PKL losing to Goldrush should drop them out of the top 10. Goldrush is a #2 or 3 seed in C playoffs at best.

No B team is playing in the C playoffs, look at Toms post from earlier in the year. About Option 1 and 2. Either all the teams in B make the playoffs.. or the top 8, the rest go home.

the ocho stands by its positioning of Diesel and PKL... Both teams lost their first games of the season in which they were missing most of their players. Since then they have beat teams like Pain, Outlaws and Penetrators with ease, not to mention that Diesel is really an A team now that they have their team back together.. Also the ocho stands behind the system of power ranking(SOS/Margin of victory/historical data) and not ranking by your record alone.
