I think this could turn out to be a pretty interesting season. There is a good mix of vet teams, experienced teams and brand new ones. There are a few dark horses that could make some noise that are not in the preseason "Top 10". Can`t wait till Week 1!!!

Yeah, if you were to add those three teams from the MD Div. then you would have to drop three from the VA. top ten. All three will be in the A playoffs at the end.

Nope. From what I`ve seen over the past couple seasons it looks like they are steadily improving. They did win their division in the Fall. I think that if they get hot and have some schedule help they could make a run. Hell, Diesel did last Spring. If they can do it why not PKL?

Why even bother, D-Mob is going to will the whole thing anyway.

I`m not sure I would put United in that mix. United fits more into the mix with the other 12 teams listed in OPEN, maybe a bit better than some, but still more evenly matched up than with the 9 Teams you have set up.

How do you know that, Playaz, The Truth, and Gators should be in the C? They should just be at the bottom at the worst. Well at least The Truth should, because i`ve seen them practice and there better than Midgets and Chuck Norris. They have few guys from P Squad and other players that have come from past open teams that have split up and they were pretty decent players not the best, but not C league level.

Another answer I know is that United will NOT go undefeated in the regular season this year. They had a lucky run at states but they are getting old and slowing down. They`ll be lucky to be in the top ten at the end.

Also I can`t wait to watch Franchise go down in flames again - funniest stuff I ever saw. All Day!!!!

what the heck is Answer`s thought process behind his rankings? They certainly do not seem to be based on what happened in the fall season. In addition, he left out DMob.

DMOB and Sharks are playing in PG in the spring. So they don`t count in this Pre-Season IFFL Reston League Rankings.

They`ll be playing in the A playoffs dumb***.

Sounds to me like you would like to have an amendment done to my list. Submit the amendment paperwork with the correct signatures and my staff will take a look at it.

MD Open division (will be 6 teams) will play 5 regular season games against one another, then play in a 6-team MD playoffs. The MD teams are also competing for berths in the USFFA Nationals which are being hosted here in Fairfax (its VA`s turn to host) this December a week before States.

After that, the top 3 (or 4 depending on record vs VA teams) will participate in the overall IFFL "A" playoffs, and the bottom 3 (or 2) will go to the IFFL "B" playoffs.

As with last season, the MD Open division teams will be participanting in the VA-based IFFL playoffs.

Looking at their team page, it looks like Wolves jumped into the open league in the Spring of 2007 and went 10-0. I`m not sure if they existed before that, but if they did its not recorded on their page.

I`m not saying The Truth, Gators, or Playaz are going to do this, just saying it isn`t unheard of according to the team webpages.

Wolves used to be the Lions. They have been in this league for years.

Wolves are the real deal.

Going back to the Spring `06 season here are the teams that tried it. Liger (0-7), Grand Hustle (0-6-1), Newbies (0-6-1) and the Midgets (0-7). The Wolves were not a new team they were an old team with a new name.

But you`re right it could happen. We`ll see.

How about Franchise? They went 3-4 in their first year and started in Open. Nighthawks did too. True, it was `B`, not Open but it was still 3 wins.

I`m not saying we`re going to turn the league on it`s ear or anything, but I`d be extremely disappointed if we went 0-7.

and B are different ..Open contain`s all the true A teams that are at the top every year...where as playing a pure B division you don`t run into any iffl powerhouses...you guys will struggle with Rhinos, Pain and PKL in your division.

Pain and PKL were "B" Leaguers Fall `08 and the Whino`s were an "A" team. Bundy keep it simple with a few trick plays and you`ll do well. To the haters of the "non-powerhouse" teams, go down to Richmond and/or VA Beach and you`ll get smoked by any of those teams!

Rhinos were the fall A champions, so they could be considered an IFFL powerhouse, pain was the B+ champion and PKL was a B+ Semifinalist...9 times out of 10 a brand new team will struggle against those odds. Not to mention, Mutiny, the B champion and Franchise, Bundy`s old compadres won`t be laying down and a Banditos team that was like 8-0 in weeknight...however, who knows what Banditos will bring to Sundays.

Why should United be on the list, are you kidding me. I take any of the top 16 teams over United. Yes, I agree they HAD a great run so far. They have no talent and their time in the sun is up. Sorry but that`s the fact.

Marino, you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but I have a hard time figuring our your logic. You have a team who finished below 500 in the fall B league ranked in front of the defending fall A (Rhinos) and B league (Pain) champs, a fall B league division winner (PKL) and a team who has won numerous A league titles (Dietz).

Only tine will tell, but these insane rankings lead me to believe that the cocaine issue that hampered your NFL draft status must be back.

Until someone knocks United off then you have to put them in the top 16 and maybe the top 10. Will they go undefeated in the conference? Who knows, but I bet they win at least 5 or 6 games in their conference.

Can someone please explain to me why United isn`t a good team? I believe they went 11-2 the last 13 games played. That doesn`t sound like a team that sucks to me. But that`s just my 2 cents. *shrug*

Unlike Pain, United is old and none athletic. They are the oldest team in their division. I think they might be the oldest team in the league only behind to Rhinos but Rhinos have some athletes. The concensus believe that United are done. It`s not a knock on United, they are bunch of great guys but it`s time for them to hang up their cleats.

I think it`s a few guys just not handling the fact that United has Older players that Work well together and are under sized or not as fast as the twenty something players. It`s a bust to the young guys ego if an OLD Dude can still take a win over top of them even though they actually might just be faster, stronger or more athletic.

Note to the Hater`s on United ~> Communication with your team and experience will always win a few games, if not all them.
