Week 1 Novice is posted. We`re using an Elem school field for 2 games per week, so conversions there are 2 from the 10 (run/pass) 1 from the 3 (run/pass).

Week 2 for all teams is April 19 (no games on the 12th due to Easter).

I will post week 2 & week 3 schedules prior to week 1. The reason I want to hold off is to determine the likelihood of a grass fields rainout for week 1. If some or all of those fields are rained out, I may need to make significant schedule changes for 4/19 in order to get those teams rained out all onto turf.

I would rather wait until - say THU April 2, see clear skies in the forecast, and post week 2 & 3, then post it now and have to send out 40 emails and deal with teams upset about rearranging the schedule.

The only reason I am holding off is because of the 4/12 bye, and the possibility of some teams not playing until 4/19 in the event of a rainout.

It really only matters if the two teams have the same color jerseys. Visitor has to wear alternate jerseys. And coin toss but other than that nothing else.

First team listed is the home team, and yes it only matters if there is a jersey conflict.

Weather:

1/4 inch of rain today, but windy and sunny tomorrow. Turf field games and Hook Rd. should definately be a go. Herndon, BC#1 and HWE may be Sunday morning decisions.

Considering this, I will wait until Sunday afternoon to post the 4/19 schedule. If there ARE rainouts Sunday, we`ll use the turf fields & Hook Rd. on 4/19 for Novice.

Also, in the event only one field is cancelled, we do have Saturday night (4/11) turf space at Braddock Park in the event that teams wish to play make-up games there - but we`ll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Are you saying you don`t think the fields will be dry enough for Sunday games even thought it`s windy and sunny tomorrow?

I personally think (hope) they will be dry enough - but its not my call, and they are usually quick on the draw early in the season.

Tom said, its not his call, if its gets tore up then thats another field lost, a week is not going to make that much of a difference
