That was the worst field ever. I`ve been in this league for a few years now and I have never played on a field that was 60 yards in length and 40 yards across. What are we in pee wee league?? I have to complain about this field...it`s just unacceptable that any IFFL team has to play on that field. I feel like since we`re novice we get the crap field?? We pay the same amount of money as A or B league...this is just unacceptable that Novice gets the s^^% end of the deal.

I have to second the post above. There gotta be another grass field we can use at some Middle School in around Herndon or Chantilly.

One more thing...there`s a parking issue also. A church group is also using the school at the same time as the games. They claim they have the rights to the parking lot also.

that field was pathetic....60 yard field...and the refs were using 10 yard first downs...i thought the rule was first downs were every 20 yards...regardless though, the teams that played were slipping and sliding - big risk of injury type of field

I know - HWE is a stop-gap measure. Now that most leagues (of all sports) have started, I will go back and try to get some unused or turned in field space.

I do not want to be using the field any longer than necessary, and if I could get 4 teams to play Saturday night on turf instead of at HWE that`s another option.

I think teams rather play on Saturday than play at HWE. I`m sure you can understand my frustration. We were inside the 5 three times. Granted we could have scored TD`s in all three occasions but if the option for the FG was there we could have put 3 on the board and put some pressure on the other team. That`s still 9 pts off the board when other teams on their field has an option to do so. I think all 4 teams that played on that field share the same frustration. I think we should just do away with that field...well in my opinion anyways.

I agree with Novice. My team had a game on this field and it was horrid. I understand your position though and hope a new option works out.

If an option doesn`t come up, will the four teams that already had to play on this field get bias for other fields for future games? Since we are all paying the same amount that`s only fair.

Tom runs this league better than any other league in the area, you don`t like it, go play for another lame league. Otherwise, zip it, and realize that it will get fixed.

well i`m sure you`re one of the A teams that gets the nice premium turf field. Hey how about this.. why dont you guys switch fields with the novice league and we`ll see how much "non-complaining" you guys do.

Last I checked, league fees are the same acorss the board. Now if Novice was say 500 bucks and Open was 1000 bucks then i`m sure the newbies wouldnt be crying...
