Tom, are playoffs starting Sunday Oct 31?
If so, any teams that will be getting bys the first week? I am going to a party Saturday night Oct 30 and want to get tore up without worrying about playing ball the next morning...

In open the teams in each division didn`t all play each other. Unfair advantage not having the same schedule within the division, isn`t it?

Yeah but we only have 7 weeks and 10 teams each division, so how are you are going to work that?

that might work with 1 or 2 teams each week, but if we did that for the whole league, we`d have games from 7 am to 4 pm.

The only team that probably had a favorable schedule is "United". As they didn`t have to play Scavs or Collision in their division. It will hurt them dearly come A playoffs as they seemed not even on the same playing field with Pitbulls. This is a classic example of a "bad" example of the Open format. Had United played Scavs and Collision and Pitbulls, they`d probably be in the B playoffs or battling that last spot with "Pain".

As for everybody else, STFU and play ball.

Truth and Collision all time are 2-2 with Truth winning the last two. So I don`t know if we`re a first round bye for them, or anyone for that matter.

I second that... I have not been on the field with Collision but they are a solid team from what I have heard. We will see what happens.

should be interesting--- 100% chance the loser of the Pen`s/Truth game gets Scavs in the 1st round.

A full squad pitbulls team and Scavs are a notch above any other team in A. Any of the playoff matches not involving those two teams should be pretty equal

the truth always gives us a good game. We don`t see them as a first round bye at all. They also competed pretty well last season against some of the better teams...I believe they tied dietze in the regular season.

That is why they will be the only A team in the playoffs with a - AvPD. They barely beat all the bottom teams in the division. The one good team they did play they got destroyed (Pitbulls).

Someone sounds bitter that the old crusty crew from United will be in the A playoffs. Those old turds have been around forever and seem to do just enough to win. Although, I do agree with you....they suck.

United crushed by 4 & 5. Only managed a tie to 6 and had to squeak by 7-10 for wins. Pain gets the shaft having to play both 1 & 2.

United started their 3rd or 4th string qb. If you look at the standings prior to the game, winning or losing against SC did nothing for thief playoff spot.

Do anybody know the matchups for the first round of playoffs?

East vs west. 1 vs 4 2 vs 3, etc.

Group 1 - Scavs vs. Truth; Pens vs. United
Group 2 - Outlaws vs. Pitbulls; Collision vs Lazy

Looks like the west will win 3 of 4....with the only loss being United going down. If the Pitbulls bring their entire squad, no way Outlaws can hang. Lazy can`t match the speed of Collision, Scavs blow out Truth and United doesn`t have enough speed or size to beat Pens.

Looks like West will take B as well.

Just checked the standings/schedules and noticed that Lazy beat the Pens head to head. Therefore, Lazy and Pens will have to swap spots. Revised brackets:

Group 1 - Scavs(1W) vs. Truth(4E); Lazy(2E) vs. United(3W)
Group 2 - Outlaws(1E) vs. Pitbulls(4W); Collision(2W) vs Pens (3E)

considering this is the OPEN format, why not rank the 16 teams and have ONE champion....there is no B in open.

It really sucks for Outlaws. #1 in division only to play a #4 team that sandbagged it all season then souped up the roster in time for the playoffs.

If the Pitbulls bring their all star roster, Outlaws is one and done. Coach Reid needs a big pep talk before this game.

does the Pits have an all star roster???The only 2 new people they picked up was Cody and Grove......Everyone else was with them in the spring.

Well, several of their guys didn`t show up to the games, so they played short handed for a good part of the season. If everyone shows up, it`s an all star roster.

Some of us have to work on weekends or travel great distance to attend games....especially me - who lives near Charlottesville, VA...We all wish we could be there every Sunday....Life gets in the way of things

B matchups don`t look to good with the Rhinos in there. You saw the scores against Lazy and Ligers. They are a veteran team and always do well in the playoffs
