have V.A. champs ever faced MD/DC champs or has it been more than a idea?

The Maryland league used to play in our playoffs to crown the overall champion. It was treated more like a division than a separate league in that sense. For example, 2007 Fall when the Sharks won it all coming out of the Riverview Park division. Or 2008-09 when DMob won from the same division.

IFFL A champs should play Fairfax weeknight A champs in a NoVABowl! Crown the winners once and for all!

What if there are guys who play on both teams ???

Weeknight champs will SMASH any of these Sunday teams. Outcast is #1 in A on Sundays, couldn`t even win every game in B Weeknight this season.

Yet the 2011 Spring "A" champs, 7-point spread, are 3-5 this season?? Against teams that are also in the Sunday morning league??

Please, look at the records:

Penetrators are 4-4 weeknight, 1-5 Sunday morning.
Triple Crown is 7-1, Scavs are 4-2 (same team).

Sunday league trumps Weeknight.

Dude Scavs are not the same as TC, many same players but not the same. Look at the Wolves, who made the Sunday morning league look like a co-ed league, arent even winning the A League and they are STACKED this season.

I`m not saying people who play on Sundays cant compete, but its a different level of intensity out there on the weeknights. Once again, Outcast, a pretty good B team on the weeknights, is looking like the A league favorite on Sunday mornings.

you get a better turn out during weeknight games = better competition. Sure some of the same teams from weeknights play Sunday morning, but odds are you are a lot of guys who aren`t coming on Sunday morning (i.e. Scavs) atleast until playoffs.

If Triple Crown plays the Scavs in a game, TC wins by 2-3 scores.

All I know is I wish the Sunday morning teams played on turf too...sigh.

I wouldn`t say wolves made sunday mornings look like co-ed because they BARELY beat the truth...c`mon now, the truth?

Also, Outcast has a better qb on sunday mornings than their qb at night. Their qb at night is horrible and just runs around. Bundy probably has a better arm than he does.

Seems like it is easier for teams to play on weeknights.

I think the caliber of athlete is about the same, with the weeknights getting a slight edge, but the intensity is definitely higher during weeknight games. I`ve been playing both Sundays and Weeknights for 3 years, and I have never thought Sunday mornings were as legit. That`s not to some Sunday teams couldn`t compete, but its tough to be as intense at 8am on a Sunday morning than it is at 8pm on a Monday night.

I`ll be happy to pose the idea to Tom and Shay and see what they think, but with the issues we`re having right now with field permits it may be tough.
