All,

We`ll be running a Winter league in 2012 starting January 8th and going through February 26th. This will be an 8 team league, 7 game guarantee, with the top 4 making the playoffs.

All games will be played on Sunday mornings between 8 and 12 on turf at Lake Fairfax #1.

We`ll also bring stats back for the Winter, and if it works well we`ll try and do it again in the Spring.

I`m expecting the fee to be around $745, which is about $100 less than Spring or Fall, mostly because of the one less game.

Is there going to be a free agent board up for winter? I currently play on a team that is not going to play in winter and I would like to still play.

Yes there will be. I also know of a couple other guys who want to play and don`t think their team is going to play. Maybe if there`s enough free agents we can put together a team from those.

Which teams have expressed interest in playing? I would sign my team up but would like to know what kind of comp will be signed up for winter.

Right now the following teams have said they`re interested in playing:

Not bad. Just need 2 more teams. We`ll see who shows up when its 15 degrees outside, snows on the ground, and winds are going crazy. should be some fun games!

Collision Stone Cold? shouldn`t be considered middle of the pack. Truth and Pens know they can play with both of them too. Thats 4 legit A teams. Alter Ego is on the cusp of being an A team. and I know nothing of WTF.

Nothing solid yet. But I`ve had several people from outside the league contact me, Tom hasn`t posted anything about on the weeknight league board yet and I just put an ad on Craigslist. I`m certain we`ll fill up.

BTW - if you play on a Winter team in another league, you might want to mention to them that our team fee is almost $130 cheaper and Sunday mornings as opposed to Sunday nights (much warmer in the sun, don`t you think?)
