United improves to 2-3 on the season, while SCAVENGERS drops to 4-1.
The victory snapped a 2 game losing streak for United.
The loss ended a 4 game winning streak for SCAVENGERS. This is the fewest points scored in a game this season by SCAVENGERS.Prior to this game, these teams had met only one other time, on Apr 10 2011, 10:00, a IFFL - Reston Spring League "Open" regular season game which SCAVENGERS won 19-7.
Next up for SCAVENGERS is Stone Cold (5-0). That game is scheduled for May 13 2012, 09:00 at GMU Rec Field 3.
United will face off against Bearcats (0-5) on May 13 2012, 08:00 at GMU Rec Field 3.

05/07/12 07:23 | Actually, was a pretty good game. Back and forth. Scavs started the game a man down, but by their first drive, they had 3-4 subs. United goes up 14-6 at half....A s a i n Vick does his thing and makes plays with running and some key catches. Missed flag pulls for a long Scavs score in the first half. Second half starts with a quick pick 6 by Scavs. Scavs don`t seem to have a kicker, so they went for 2 after every score. Missed all three times. United stopped a time or two, and Scavs march the ball down to United 5. Scavs use roll out, and throw a short pass to the big lineman for the score. 18-14 Scavs. United gets the ball back and marches the entire field, and scores with less then a minute left. 21-18 United. United holds Scavs at the end....and ballgame. Watching the game, Scavs had their chances, but United made the plays when they needed to and walked the ball down the field on the Scavs defense when it mattered most. One of the better played games on Sunday. |

05/07/12 15:28 | They beat us what else is there to talk about. We kicked off both halfs which can hurt any team in this league. We scored everytimre we had the ball except for the last drive of the game. The players that we had on the field could beat any team in this league so for you to say that we didnt have our A league team is crazy as hell. We had some people missing but thats not the reason why they beat us. their QB had a good game he took what we gave him which was short passes and hope that we missed the flag pulls. Good game United! |
